The heat exchangers of the RAL series built in high-strength aluminum alloy obtained by means of a vacuum braze welding construction process.
Each sheet provides the technical data relating to the exchanger used for cooling hydraulic circuits and to the fans driven by an electric or hydraulic motor.

INSTALLATION
The exchanger must be installed in such a way as to avoid the presence of obstacles to air circulation, respecting the minimum distance from the wall (1/2 fan diameter) in order to ensure the natural flow of cooling air. It can be mounted both horizontally and vertically.
The RAL air / oil heat exchangers are normally used for the cooling of hydraulic circuits and installed on the return lines, they must be protected from shocks and mechanical vibrations by means of elastic supports and connected to the system by means of flexible pipes.
To avoid damage that abrupt changes in flow rate or any water hammer or continuous pulsations cause the exchangers, we recommend inserting a by-pass valve.

MAINTENANCE
Oil side cleaning
After disassembling the exchanger, clean by circulating a degreasing product compatible with steel alloys inside the radiator. Carry out a flushing with hydraulic oil before reconnecting the exchanger to the system.
Air side cleaning
Perform this operation using compressed air. Make sure that the direction of the jet is parallel to the fins so as not to damage them. If the clogging of the exchanger is caused by an accumulation of oil or grease, cleaning can be carried out with a jet of steam or hot water. During the cleaning operations, the electric motor must be conveniently protected.

 

SAFETY
When using the exchanger, it is necessary to comply with some important warnings:

Do not remove the fan guards
Have the electrical connections carried out by specialized personnel following the attached diagrams
The external surfaces of the exchanger could have very high temperatures, therefore it is necessary to provide adequate protections or inaccessible positions during assembly
Do not work on the hydraulic motor without first disconnecting the pipes
